Marcia Giusti Johnson is an artist, author and educator.
She is a graduate of Massachusetts College of Art, The Art Institute of Boston at Lesley College, and Cambridge College. She has taught college level fine art, design and masters of education courses on both east and west coasts, for over twenty years. Her lectures include topics on Creativity, Interdisciplinary Learning through Art, and Italian Art History.
Fascinated with how the brain processes experience, coupled with understanding the extraordinary need for humans to create, Johnson explores, analyzes and sheds light on both phenomena as they are artfully woven together, through her vivid storytelling and over 90 beautiful paintings.
An interdisciplinary thinker, Johnson draws delicate, yet important connections through her experiences and her art. These connections show the process and evolution of what she terms, “Artistic Intelligence”. Deeply personal, yet universal in meaning and outcomes, Johnson accounts a near lifetime of query and experiences. We find ourselves finally seeing and understanding the complexity of the artist, and the forces that shape the creative mind.
